Art Fun Twists Butterfly

Prepare this quick, easy, and creative project with your kids, just in time for spring!

Materials:

  • 20" Art Fun Twists
  • 10" x 15" sheets of Spectra Deluxe Art Tissue paper
  • Scissors
  • Pencil or Dowel

Instructions:

  1. Select two sheets of Deluxe Art Tissue Paper.
  2. Place one on top of the other.
  3. Fold both pieces together in half.
  4. Starting from the fold, cut wing shape out. Be sure to return to the fold when cutting
  5. Select one Art Fun Twist and fold in half. (equals 10")
  6. Open wings and place the folded wing section into the folded Art Fun Twist. Be sure to push tissue up to the folded twist.
  7. Gather the wings slightly and curt the Art Fun Twist to approximately one-third its size. Curl by rolling the twist on a pencil or dowel.
  8. Curl the two open ends of the twist wrapping around a wooden dowel or a pencil to form the butterfly's antennas.
  9. Decorations that will enhance the butterfly: additional shapes or different colors of tissue, sequins, or glitter.
