Ingredients: (Hit your return key to start a new line)
-Small paper plates
-Plastic knives or spoons
-Box of sugar ice cream cones
-White frosting (2-4 cans)
-Green food coloring (optional)
-Candies (mini M&M's, sprinkles, flowers, edible silver balls, gummi bears, etc.)
-Shredded coconut
-Gingerbread men cookies (comes in a bag for $1 during the holiday season)

Directions:
1. Distribute plates and give each child a sugar cone.
2. Using the green food coloring, add 3-5 drops into tubs of white frosting, and mix well.
3. Add a little frosting to the top of the cone (where the ice cream goes in) and place on the plate.
4. Coat the entire cone with frosting and decorate.
5. Sprinkle shredded coconut over the tree to resemble snow.
6. On the plate around the tree, dab a little more frosting and stick the gingerbread men cookies on them.

Other suggestions and comments:
MAKE SURE YOU USE SUGAR CONES AND NOT THE REGULAR ICE CREAM CONES!

I normally do this activity with my students around Christmas time. It's different than the traditional gingerbread houses out of little milk cartons. And much more stuff to eat! Enjoy :o)
