- English and Irish : occupational name from Old French molineux ‘miller’ (see Molyneux).
- William Mullins (d. 1621) was one of the Pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower in 1620. He, his wife, and his son died during the first winter at Plymouth Colony, leaving behind his daughter Priscilla, who married John Alden, by whom she had eleven children.
