- The surname Paprocki, borne by several Polish noble families, has been recorded since the 15th century. Bartosz Paprocki (1540–1614) was a heraldry expert, historian, and poet, and author of the armorial Herby rycerstwa polskiego “Coats of arms of Polish knighthood”.
