Cupid Baby Halloween Costume
Time: 2 hours
Effort: More difficult some sewing required
Materials:
- Plain white or pale blue pillowcase (queen-size or king-size is best)
- Toy bow and arrow set
- Feathered wings (available at costume shops)
- Laurel wreath
- Length of gold cord for belt
- Scissors, safety pins, needle and thread
Instructions: Cut the bottom of the pillowcase, so it's open at both ends. At one end, make a slit in the sides about eight inches long. Pin or stitch the case back together at the tops of the slits to make armholes. The pillowcase should now resemble a dress!
Wrap the gold cord around your child's waist as a belt. Attach the wings, and set the laurel wreath on her head. She will carry the bow and arrow set.
Other details: This costume fits smaller children. If you're making this for an older child, use a crib sheet instead of a pillowcase, and simply wrap it around and pin it at one shoulder. The rest of the directions will be about the same.
