Bottle to Vase
Bottle to Vase
Materials
- Bottles or other glass containers that could be used as a vase
- Colored tissue paper
- Scissors
- Photographs copied onto paper or colored pictures from magazines
- Brush
- Glue or Mod Podge (found at craft stores)
Directions
Cut or tear the tissue paper into pieces. Mix glue with water (two parts glue to one part water) and brush a thin layer of the mixture onto the bottle. Carefully attach the pieces of tissue paper and photographs to the bottle. Continue until the whole bottle is covered. If you don't want to use any photographs, the vase looks just as pretty using only colored tissue paper. Once dry, brush over the tissue paper and photographs with the glue mixture. Let it dry completely before using it as a vase. Other objects, such as small boxes, can be decorated in the same way and used to store small toys or trinkets. Photographs must be copied onto paper in order for them to be flexible enough to stick and for the finish not to run.
