Tennis-Ball Puppet

Materials

  1. Tennis ball
  2. Cloth napkin or men's handkerchief
  3. Paints, crayons, or markers
  4. Thumbtacks (optional)

Directions

Cut a hole in the base of the tennis ball big enough for the child's finger. Make the tennis ball into a face with paints, crayons, and markers. Use thumbtacks for eyes. Glue on yarn or colored paper for hair. Place the napkin over the child's hand and have him insert his or her index finger into the tennis ball base. The child's thumb and middle finger will be the puppet's arms. Attach the napkin to the arm fingers with a loose rubber band. Now the puppet is ready for action.
