Block Printing
Materials
- Small blocks of wood
- Rickrack
- Glue
- Liquid tempera paint in a shallow pan
- Paper
Directions
- Glue rickrack to the end of a block of wood.
- Press the block into the paint, then onto paper to make a zigzag design.
- Move the block around in different directions and add different colors of paint if you like.
For an alternate activity, wrap string around a block or glue an object such as a key or small plastic ring to the end of the block to make an interesting print.
