Ace of Hearts Costume

Follow these simple instructions to make an Ace of Hearts costume for Halloween.

Ace of Hearts Costume

Time: 30 minutes

Effort: Quick and easy — no sewing required

Materials:

  • Two white construction boards
  • A red marker
  • Red and blue glitter
  • Red ribbon
  • Red and white face makeup

Instructions: Cut out two holes at the top of each board. This is where you'll thread the ribbon and tie the boards together. (When you're making the holes, keep in mind that the space between the two holes will have to fit over your child's head.)

Round the corners of the boards off a bit, so they aren't scratchy.

Draw the Ace of Hearts on the two boards. (Copy the card from a deck of cards, if you need a little help!) Draw and fill in the heart with red marker. For a fancier heart, glue on red glitter to make the heart sparkle, and glue blue glitter around the edges of the heart to make a sparkly border.

Tie the two boards together with the ribbon.

With the face makeup, paint your child's face white. Then draw one red heart on each side of his face.
