Duck Baby Halloween Costume
Duck Baby Halloween Costume
Time: 1 hour
Effort: Quick and easy no sewing required
Materials:
- Yellow baseball hat (if your pajamas don't have a hood)
- Yellow pajamas with feet
- One 9" x 12" inch orange felt square
- Two 1-½" white pom-poms
- Two small, oval wiggle eyes
- White or yellow feather boa
- Scissors
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Orange slipper socks
Instructions: Cut the brim of the baseball hat into a duck-bill shape. Cut the orange felt in half and glue it to the top and bottom of the brim. When the glue cools, trim the excess felt to the shape of the brim.
Glue the wiggle eyes to the white pom-poms and glue them to the hat just above the brim. Cut a 6-inch piece of boa and glue it to the top of the hat or hood. Cut a few feathers off the boa and glue just above and between the eyes. (If the baseball hat is too large, fold the back and tape or pin it to fit.)
Glue sections of the boa around the ankles of the pajamas and around the shoulders. Be careful not to cover the zipper. Pull the orange socks over the pajama feet to make the duck feet.
Other details: Don't glue the boa around the wrist or the neck. You don't want your child to get any feathers in his or her mouth!
