Help your child celebrate the season with a few ghostly friends in your trees! This easy activity will transform your yard into a Halloween haven.

What to do:

Step One: Explain to your child that you are going to make little ghosts for your trees.

Step Two: Crumple up newspaper and stuff into the end of a garbage bag to make a ghost "head." Repeat for as many ghosts as your child wants to make.

Step Three: Tie the rubber band around the end of the bag to make a "neck" for the ghost.

Step Four: (Optional) Cut out eyes and a mouth for each ghost from the black masking tape. What kind of ghost would your child like: scary, silly, funny, sad? Repeat this discussion for each ghost.

Step Five: Tie string or yarn around the neck of each ghost. Then, go outside and hang your ghosts from the trees or lampposts in your yard. Now your home is ready for trick-or-treat!
