Picnic Lunch Costume

Follow these simple directions to create a Picnic Lunch costume.

Picnic Lunch Costume

Time: About half an hour

Effort: Easy - no sewing required

Materials:

  • Red and white checkered fabric (enough to cover both sides of the child's body)
  • Paper plates
  • Paper cups
  • Plastic spoons, forks, knives

Instructions: Take the fabric and lay it over your child's head. Cut a hole so she can get her head through, and the fabric is on her like a dress. Take the fabric off, and on both sides of the hole, staple on paper plates, cups, forks, spoons, and knives so it looks like a picnic lunch setting. Again, put the fabric over her head, stick out her arms, and she is now a delicious picnic lunch! Add some small, empty chip bags and juice boxes to the table if you like.

Tips: If you want an even better-looking lunch, buy some fake plastic food, and glue it onto the paper plates. Plastic ants are great, too.
