How to Make Your Own Slime
Kids love playing with slime. This ooey-gooey concoction can easily be made at home, so your kids can play with slime anytime they want!
The fun thing about making your own slime is that you can choose your colors and add anything you want, like glitter or confetti, to add some fun and texture. Try out your own fun combinations by trading regular glue for colored glue, glitter glue, or even scented glue!
How to Make Slime
To make a basic slime recipe, you will need four ingredients:
- 6 oz bottle of glue
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup liquid starch
- Liquid water colors in your favorite color
Steps to Make Slime
- Start by mixing the water and glue in a small bowl
- Add a few drops of your liquid water colors
- Add the liquid starch
- Mix well
Now that you have your basic recipe, try these fun variations!
Galaxy Slime
Make three separate slimes in red, purple and blue. Instead of regular glue, use glitter glue and add confetti stars!
Magnetic Slime
Use black coloring and add in 2-4 tsp of black Iron Oxide powder. Now, your slime is magnetic!
Glowing Slime
For a fun evening activity, make slime that will glow! Along with your glue, add 1/4 cup of glow-in-the-dark acrylic paint in your choice of color.
