- Paper
- Pen or pencil
Directions
In this game, pacing is the purpose, not a way to kill time. Use a pencil and paper to measure and record distances around the house in steps. Examples might be steps to the mailbox, to the front door, to the corner, etc.
Extensions
- Explore the neighborhood in the same way.
- Buy inexpensive pedometers and measure how far you both go in a set amount of time.
- Chart several days, striving to increase the steps while talking about the benefits of exercise.
