This activity teaches your child about cooperation, as you help her walk backwards by directing her vocally.

Directions
- This activity encourages cooperation. Stand at one end of the yard or in an open area at a park and have your child call you toward them as you walk backward, following their vocal directions.
- Help your child understand that you need to follow his voice to succeed.
Extensions
- Reverse roles. Reassurance will go a long way toward helping your child overcome a reluctance of moving into the unknown.
- Repeat the same procedure at a slow run and reverse roles again.
