I'm in seventh grade. I read slowly and I don't understand what I read. What can I do?

Talk first with your parent(s) about your concerns. They can help you talk with your teacher and with your school counselor about your reading. You may be able to get some testing and extra help with reading at school, or your parents may get some tutoring for you outside the school.
You are really smart to be concerned about your reading and to want to get help with it. As you move into higher grades, reading will be more and more important, and you will want to be able to read the best you can.
