Creating Christmas Traditions
In this article, you will find:
Christmas morning routine
You can even create some traditions that may make the wee hours of Christmas morning a little bit easier. Do your kids wake you up first thing in the morning (read, 4:30 a.m.) every year? Try pinning your children's stockings to the sides of their beds. That way, when they wake up in the morning, they'll spend some time opening those gifts before they wake you up. If your kids start clamoring for gifts days in advance, start opening one gift each on Christmas Eve to give them a taste of what's to come. You might avoid hearing the pitter-patter of little feet outside your door at 4:00 a.m., and you'll have a new family tradition, to boot!
Once everyone's up and the coffee is brewing, nominate someone in the family to hand presents out one at a time. You'll make someone feel extra special, and you'll extend the festivities, too. Each year, give someone else a turn playing Santa.
